Boyer Bransden Single Phase Power Box.
What does it do ?
This is a straightforward power box, with a lighting delay, which makes it especially useful if you want to run lights without a battery. It takes AC from your two or three wire alternator (up to 180 watts) and converts to 12V DC. Without a battery, the lights will only be supplied once the engine is running and 10 volts has been reached. If a battery is fitted, the lighting delay circuit will not function. The battery should be protected by a 15 amp fuse, and always connected the correct way. This is also a good way to convert from 6 volts to 12 volts, and replace your tired rectifier / zener / regulator etc. all at the same time. Suitable for use with positive or negative earth, a comprehensive wiring diagram for both is supplied.
